Loooove That Top!

Those familiar with King Corn*, or just more well-versed in TV commercials and tracking trends on the Internets probably already know about this awesome commercial paid for by The Corn Refiner’s Association and SweetSurprise.com.

I saw it on the tele yesterday at a friend’s house (and had a been drinking neon red punch from a gallon jug, probably would have spewed it all over the white couch). I never knew that High Fructose Corn Syrup was made from corn, doesn’t have artificial ingredients and is fine in moderation. Television is so good for learning things.

To read what other people are saying, try The Mayo Clinic, The University of Maryland’s Medically Speaking, The Washington Post, Radhia Gleis, PhD and the liberal not-to-be-trusted Mother Nature Network.

Sounds like a controversy brewing, But, as LaVar Burton says, you don’t have to take my word for it. Go do the research yourself. You may be in for a sweet surprise.

*When I Googled King Corn, the movie, the Google banner ad titled King Corn linked to SweetSurprise.com. Tricky, tricky.
